The World Ends With You review

This is the front of new DS game that's coming out that looks really good to me:

And now comes my 'trying to be professional' review.  Ahem!

The World Ends With You (Japanese title - What a Beautiful World) was created by the same people who made the Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories game for the DS.  Although the battle style is a lot more complex than the other Squeenix games, it's still a deep story with tons of fun things to try.

The story starts with Neku, a 15-year-old boy who wakes up in the Shibuya shopping district of Japan (for those of you who don't know, this is the busy part of Tokyo you usually see when there are documentaries of Japan).  He can't remember how he got there, but he realizes that he now has the ability to read people's thoughts due to a strange black pin he's holding.  Suddenly, he gets a message on his cell phone, saying he has to participate in the Reapers' Game and reach his first goal in 60 minutes, otherwise he will die.  With no other choice, Neku must participate in the 7-day-long Reapers' Game with Shiki Misaki, a girl who has also been forced to participate, in order to stay alive.

With an imaginative story, graphics that are as good as you can expect for a DS game and a soundtrack said to have a large variety of artists, this game seems like a perfect winner!  The only thing that sets it back is its intense battle-system.  Like most games it starts out basic and gets harder, but controlling two characters at one time can be rather difficult.  Hopefully, those who play this game will adjust quickly.

Final Rating: 9/10

So, that was me being professional.  Awful, wasn't it?  If anyone wants me to review something, I will!  Main reason I ask is because I'm bored and want something to do...^^;

What a Beautiful and Painful Day

So, today was the memorial for my mom.  My entire family was there, and by that I mean even the relatives that I'd never met before.  That would be about 50% of the people there.  There were also some people from school, from mom's work and some of my brother's friends.

It was really nice, or as nice as a funeral could be.  Some of the people cried, but I shook the entire time.  I don't think mom would've wanted me to do that, but she wouldn't want us to be sad, so I wasn't sure what to do.

All in all, it was good, and it have me a good chance to see some family members I missed.

On a random note, I'm 65% sure that one of my cousins is gay.  My gaydar went mad during the reception, but I can't really say.

I AM NOW A LEGAL DRIVER!!!  By that, I mean I can drive w/o my father!  I am free!  But being free isn't very fun when you can't have friends in the car...only 6 months...so August...great.

Winterim is going well;we got to work with coyotes today, and I still kind of smell...shower time and then to bed.  So tired...

Jeez, this journal was boring.

Only a couple hours yet, so might as well say it:

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!  Whether you have a valentine or not, hope you receive lotsa love!

So, Today's Speakers...

Who thought it was fun and who thought it was awkward? I want to hear opinions! I, personally, found it a little...amusing? Is that the word? I dunno, I mostly just took pictures the entire time. I did dance with Alex, which was really awkward, and then I danced with Jenny because we rotated and I had no one.

...Why can't I ever get a guy to dance with me? Am I really that repulsive to guys? I'M TRYING HERE, THROW ME A FREAKIN' CHICKEN FLAVORED BONE!!!!!!!!!!!

So, moving away from that, Valentine's Day is a week from today! Exciting! I'm still not sure what i want to do; I want to at least get something for all of my friends, but every year I do, I end up taking more than half of whatever I got home. Suggestions welcome! Other than that, not planning on having a valentine or secret admirer or anything (though that would be nice...kind of my own girly Valentine's Day fantasy)

So, how about you; yes you, reading this, do YOU have a valentine? Hmm???? Gonna get them something spe-CIAL? Something NICE? *wink wink, nudge nudge, annoy annoy*

Speaking of Valentine's, listen to this Japanese song 'Valentine Kiss' from the anime 'Lucky Star.' There are two girls; one who's singing the song with an adorable voice and another that had WAAAAAYYYY too much sugar:  http://youtube.com/watch?v=Vpcos48aU-E

A college friend of my dad's is coming.  From Texas.  Until Saturday morning.  Two things come to mind when I think Texas:

Spicy stuff and lotsa meat.

Of course, this is only because my uncle is from Texas and he likes that stuff, but if this is the case with my dad's friend, I'm screwed.  I'm a red meat vegetarian and I hate spicy food.  Not sure what to do there...

So, apparantly a water pipe at school broke or blew up or something, so now the maintenance crew is working on it.  They had to bring porta-potties in for all the kids doing sports after school.  But the most exciting part...

A chance of no school tomorrow.

I have not had a good week at school this week, so I'm praying there will be no school.  Everyone, pray with me!

EDIT: We have school dammit!  And I wanted to do some serious artwork...T.T

So, Anyone Else's Computer Suck?

So, I'm never getting my computer updated again.  Even if I buy a new computer when I go to college or become a writer.

My dad spent all weekend updating it and, I have to say, it really is very cool.  It looks like it got buffed and shined to show it's hidden, high-tech underbelly (weird metaphor, but it works).  The only thing wrong is that it transferred, about, 1,000 old songs from my old iTunes folder into my library, as well as copies of the songs that were all ready in there.

So now, I have to through my entire library (which now conatains about 3,000 songs; 1,000 more than it should) and delete all the songs I don't want in there.  I'M ONLY ON TH F'S!!!!  And I haven't done my homework yet, but it's super easy, so I'm not worried.  But still....now I'm on the G's, so we're making progress folks!

I'm Totally Doing My Work

Went back to school today for the first time in 17 days (or so says our headmaster, but it sure felt a hella lot shorter than that).  I have to say this right off the bat:

THIS WAS THE BEST DAY OF SCHOOL THAT I'VE EVER HAD SINCE I STARTED GOING TO HIGH SCHOOL!!!

And I'm not kidding.  So, basically the reason why it went so well was because I got A's and B's as my final grades for most of my classes.  But, of course, there had to be a bad part of today.

I have no idea what my final grade is for English; the class that I basically put my life, heart and soul into.

The reason being Dr. Smith, the best English teacher, kind of screwed up the grading on all of the final exams in our class, so no one knows what their true score and grade is.  So I shall be sitting here, waiting for my grade to come.......................................................................this sucks.
